Ramón Worthington Nicolas & Cantu, P.L.L.C. and board member, Sofia Ramon, were proud to be a part of CASA of Hidalgo County’s 5th Annual CASABlanca Gala which was held at The Social Club on August 4, 2018. This year’s honoree was District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr. CASA [Court Appointed Special Advocates] of Hidalgo County is a truly worthwhile organization that is the local arm of a national and statewide volunteer movement. CASA volunteer advocates work tirelessly to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in our south Texas community as they navigate through our court system. Because of funding related constraints, CASA is currently only able to represent a fraction of the children in foster care. Thanks to all the generous sponsors and supporters, CASA of Hidalgo will be able to reach more of these children and make a meaningful difference in their lives so that every child has a safe, permanent and nurturing home.
