Lorissa McDonald

Lorissa McDonald is an Associate Attorney at Ramon Worthington Law Firm. Lorissa focuses her practice on commercial litigation, first and third party insurance and personal injury defense, representing clients in a wide variety of cases. She has also assisted physicians in defending against Texas Medical Board grievances.

Lorissa received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics—Finance and Real Estate from Texas A&M University in December 2020. She was recognized on the Dean’s Honor Roll and as a Distinguished Student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. While at Texas A&M, she was an active member of the Agricultural Economics Society and the Pre-Law Society.

Lorissa earned her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in November 2023. While at Baylor, she participated in the Estate Planning Clinic, where she drafted wills for Central Texas veterans and first responders under faculty supervision. She was a member of the Baylor Business Law Society, Baylor Public Interest Legal Society, Hispanic American Law Student Association and served as Secretary of the Texas Aggie Bar Association. In the summer of 2022, Lorissa studied trial advocacy at The Academy of the Advocate, School of Trial, at St. Andrews in Scotland.

During her time in law school, Lorissa gained valuable legal experience as a Law Clerk at Vidaurri, Rodriguez & Reyna, LLP and as an Intern with Justice Leticia Hinojosa at the Thirteenth Court of Appeals. She also served as a Student Research Assistant at Baylor Law School for the Practice Court Writing Department.

Lorissa is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
